CAST YOUR VOTE ON THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT RE: YOUNG PROFESSIONALS MEMBERSHIP CATEGORY - VOTES DUE BY AUGUST 2

As discussed briefly at our July 19, 2019 meeting, your Board of Directors has approved an amendment to our bylaws related to the terms of membership for our Young Professional Active Members. We created the YP category a few years ago to see if offering significantly lower dues to this age group would grow our membership. The strategy has not worked and has had a negative impact on our budget. The change now requires a vote by the membership before it can take effect – and we are requesting your electronic vote via this email. The change would add a $200 admission fee for new Young Professionals (YP) and set their dues at $200 for a quarter for the first year, or until age 35 whatever comes first. If approved, current YP members would be grandfathered; the change would apply to new YP members inducted July 1, 2019 and after.

The exact words of the proposed change (and the original bylaw change from 2015) were included in an email to all members (from Dunwoody Rotary) last Thursday, July 27. To vote, send a return email to President Cathie (at cbrumfield@magnoliafinancial.com)– Yes if you support the change, No if you do not.
