This Week's Speaker
The Very Rev. P. Richard Game, Rector, St. Patrick's Episcopal Church ... in Person and Via Zoom

Join us this Friday as Dunwoody Rotarian, the Very Rev. Richard Game, shares his thoughts about what leaders have learned in dealing with COVID-19. You can join us in person at the Dunwoody Country Club or via Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86202979419. Dick is currently the Rector of St. Patrick's Episcopal Church and joined the Dunwoody Rotary Club last February - just two weeks before our COVID-19 shutdown.

Born in Tampa, Florida, Dick received his B.A. cum laude from Vanderbilt University in 1983, majoring in Economics. Having graduated with a J.D. with honors from The University of Florida College of Law in 1986, Dick accepted a judicial clerkship in Atlanta with The Hon. William C. O’Kelley, Chief Judge of The United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Thereafter, Dick joined Bondurant, Mixson and Elmore, a trial firm specializing in complex business disputes, where he practiced law for 15 years, ultimately becoming a partner.

After many years of active lay ministry, and having long felt a call to the priesthood, Dick left the practice of law in 2004 to enter the Candler School of Theology at Emory, where he graduated with a Master of Divinity degree. Dick was ordained to the priesthood in July P. 2007 at Trinity Church in Columbus, Georgia, and served there for three years. His first service at St. Patrick’s was on Pentecost in 2010, and he was installed as St. Patrick’s Rector on St. Patrick’s Day, 2011.

In 2016, Bishop Robert Wright appointed him as Dean of the Northeast Metro Convocation, an area encompassing St. Patrick’s and a number of other Episcopal parishes and worshiping communities in DeKalb and Gwinnett Counties.

Dick is husband to Anne (whom he met at Vanderbilt) and father to three adult daughters: Hope, Allison, and Caroline. Anne is a Managing Director of the North Highland Company, a management consulting firm. Dick enjoys the outdoors and all water sports, especially sailing, and he and Anne spend much of their free time in travel and adventures with their daughters.
