He most recently formed and served as past President of CREATE Dunwoody, a newly formed non-profit that, in partnership with the City of Dunwoody, works to amplify the arts in our city. He also has served in various roles throughout the city and with several agencies that help the city function, including the Dunwoody Homeowners Associate, Chamber of Commerce, Dunwoody High School, and Murphey Candler Park.

Alan moved to Atlanta in 1992 to pursue a career in advertising and he and his wife, Karen, settled in Dunwoody in 2003 with their two children: Sam, now a sophomore in college, and Anna, a senior at Dunwoody High School.
